CHENG 8

作为设计师，吃饭我们是认真的。不仅追求色香味的饱满，也要做到移步异景，诗意用餐。

这是一处属于设计师的私密食堂，名为CHENG-8。CHENG为“撑”，吃饭的最高境界，小时候遇上好吃的，大体是这样的；而数字8，借取自己设计公司的名称 - 8C设计，视为“∞”无穷大，一切皆可能。每每酒足饭饱后总会感叹，生为人，躲不开那袅袅烟火气，喜怒哀乐，皆在毫厘之间纵情。

CHENG-8位于长沙市的河西，遥望洋湖湿地公园，紧邻雅河，自然环境宜人。2018年第一次探访便构想了CHENG-8的雏形。时隔一年，曲径通幽，便可寻得这一秘境，且与周遭的葱绿草木融为一体而生。

纯白色的外墙，两处明晃的落地玻璃，隐约透出室内的陈设，又映着室外的葱郁，加之光影的协作，恍惚间更是难辨虚实。

入户便是一幅魔幻隐晦的画作，名为“星星其实也是一颗宇宙尘埃”，好似一位静默的引路人，向左是会客室，向右则是设计师们的午夜食堂。

室内层高最低点仅有2.6米，两边那4米宽的落地玻璃窗不仅模糊了空间低矮的感觉，还解决了采光，让明艳的阳光灌入进来。

空间的黑与灰，更在生机盎然之意中寻得一份沉静自持。这使得空间中穿插的艺术品和装饰更为跳脱梦幻而充满童趣。这静与动的平衡，拿捏的恰到好处。

因为是自己的私有空间，设计师挥洒更加恣意，大量选用了归属于自然且经数年才得的木和石这两种元素。不仅是在描摹一个关于吃的空间，更是在呈现设计师自己的世界。

CHENG 8

CHENG-8 initially had poor lighting condition interconnecting interior and exterior dialogue. In order to draw in natural light to the core of the design, 8C Design take advantage of expansive panes of glass, which have been added to the front of the room to allow for uncompromised views of the pond and landscaped garden.

It is designed with a very minimalist tone, instead of adding more elements, the focus has been given on the nature of the materials used to finish the insides, concrete-like wall, dark wood and veiny marble with the edge in an undulating shape creating contrasts between light and dark. The materials selected for this project aim to create a clean, serene atmosphere that allows individual elements to stand out, presented as works of art.

The 200-square-metre space features the compartmentalised layout with two separate rooms, one for staff canteen, and another for special fete. The idea throughout was to make the house feel more "artful". Paintings and sculptures are dotted through rooms, the majority of which are about nature and life.
